What is VAERS?

VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) is a national early warning system established in 1990 to detect possible safety problems with vaccines. It's co-managed by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration).

VAERS accepts and analyzes reports of adverse events (possible side effects) after a person has received a vaccination.

Is this data HIPAA compliant?

Yes, absolutely. All VAERS data displayed here is:

  • Publicly available - Published by the CDC/FDA on their official website
  • De-identified - Contains no personally identifiable information (names, addresses, contact info removed)
  • Legally accessible - Available to researchers, media, and the general public under FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)

My vaccine lot number matches one with deaths/serious events - should I be worried?

Important context:

  • VAERS reports do NOT prove causation - A report means an event occurred after vaccination, but doesn't mean the vaccine caused it
  • Anyone can report - Reports are not verified for medical accuracy before being published
  • Coincidences happen - When millions of people get vaccinated, some will experience unrelated medical events afterward
  • Large lot numbers - Popular vaccines may have hundreds of thousands of doses from one lot number
  • More vaccinations = more reports - Lots used widely will naturally have more reports

What to do:

  • Don't panic - VAERS data requires expert analysis to interpret
  • Talk to your doctor if you have concerns
  • Check official CDC/FDA safety communications for genuine safety signals
  • Remember: billions of vaccine doses have been safely administered

Can I trust VAERS data?

VAERS is valuable but has limitations:

Strengths:

Bottom line: VAERS is an important tool for safety monitoring, but individual reports should not be used as proof that a vaccine caused harm.

What are "adverse events"?

An adverse event is any undesirable health occurrence that happens after vaccination, including:

  • Common reactions: Sore arm, mild fever, fatigue (usually expected)
  • Serious events: Hospitalization, disability, life-threatening illness, death
  • Coincidental events: Medical conditions that would have occurred anyway

Important: An adverse event doesn't mean the vaccine caused it - only that it occurred after vaccination. Many reported events are coincidental or unrelated.

Why are some lot numbers listed multiple times?

This is normal and expected! A person may receive multiple doses of the same vaccine from the same lot number:

  • COVID vaccines require 2-3 doses
  • HPV, Hepatitis B, and other vaccines have multi-dose schedules
  • Each dose is recorded as a separate entry

Example: Person receives Pfizer COVID dose 1 (lot ABC123) and dose 2 (lot ABC123) - lot ABC123 appears twice in their report.

How often is this data updated?

The CDC/FDA releases new VAERS data every Friday. This site is typically updated:

  • Weekly or bi-weekly for recent data
  • Check the available years to see what data is currently loaded
  • During updates, the site may be in maintenance mode temporarily

On 11/14/25, I took Prevnar 20 syringe at (withheld) Pharmacy in (withheld city, state). On 11/16/25... On 11/14/25, I took Prevnar 20 syringe at (withheld) Pharmacy in (withheld city, state). On 11/16/25, my symptoms began- right eye and right mouth drooping, right eye cannot close fully. On 11/17/25, I got an appointment to see my PCP, Dr., and she suspected that I had Bell's Palsy. She ordered several tests to rule out Lyme Disease, Strokes, and Tumors. She also prescribed Amoxicillin (Lyme) and Valacyclovir (Bell's Palsy) for me. On 11/18/25, all the test results came in. They show that I have no Lyme disease, neither do I have strokes or brain tumors. So, Bell's Palsy diagnosis was confirmed. Dr. (withheld) added an additional medicine, Prednisone. I continue to take Valacyclovir, but stop Amoxicillin. On 11/19/25, I began taking Prednisone. I also did acupuncture. Today is Day 6, and my symptoms continue to worsen though. More

After the second vaccine in 2021 about a week or 2 later i started to get pain in both hips and im not feeling well and i was feeling very ran down, i lost my appitete. It was July and I was working from home and trying to walk this off and it kinda worked but my legs started given out and i started getting muscle weakness in both legs and then i started getting bad nerve pain in both my legs. After that I started going to doctors and i saw someone in pain management and they gave me some pain med and steriod injections in the spine, and i did tell them that this started after the vaccines and they did do some spine MRIS. I saw a rumetologist and they said i needed to see a nuerologist. Bu they did not see anything on the MRI. but did see there was weakness in the lower area but did know why. I then started bouncing around do differe nuerologist but i did find one that liked. Over time it did start to get worse and my back gave out around January. It became clear that i have some type of spinal issues. I am now bed ritten from August 2022 until today. I did have treatment in 08/2022 - 08/2023 i did have treatment with IVIG and there was some imporved in 2023 but the doses were way to high. I did consult with nuero sugreys in summer of 2022 and ortho. I was hospitalized last year in April into May of 2024 and they ran some test and i dont know how I got relasead in my condition with 2 cans. I was referred to their own infection dieases speciallist. I did get increase level of muscles weakness. 4 weeks after the vaccine i did have to start using a single cane. I progressed to 2 cans sometime in 2023. The pain is not manageable. The more i try to walk to the muscles weakness gets worse. I also started to get muscle weakness in the arms. I do have a letter for Sept 09, 2025 that i did develop Severe post acute covid syndrome. Letter states all findings from acute covid syndrome. Neuro is stating that my spinal cord is disfunctional. I having a systemic spinal dysfunction. When i eat larger meals that causes the symptoms to worsen. More
